Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for an Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting and finance team.
You will work closely with our team to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end closing, prepare financial reports, perform reconciliations, and assist with accounting and client-related assignments.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with U.S. clients
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Experience with accounting or CPA firms
- Exposure to U.S. bookkeeping, month-end close, or financial reporting
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms
- CPA / CA / CMA / ACCA qualification or progress toward a professional qualification
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books and accounting records for clients
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Record and review journal entries
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and financial reports
- Review general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies
- Assist with accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and adjustments
- Support management reporting and financial analysis
- Work with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting systems
- Assist with U.S. accounting and financial reporting requirements
- Maintain accounting documentation and workpapers
- Identify process improvements and develop efficient workflows
